Traditional Jujitsu
Practical self-defence rooted in discipline, control, and awareness
Kokoro Jujitsu offers structured training in traditional jujitsu, focusing on practical self-defence, personal safety, and controlled physical development. Based at Lowton Community Hub, the club provides a calm, respectful environment where students of different ages and abilities can train with purpose and confidence.
Training emphasises balance, coordination, joint control, and movement, alongside situational awareness and decision-making. Sessions are progressive and structured, allowing students to build skill steadily while understanding how techniques apply in real-world situations.
For children and young people
Building confidence, coordination, and self-control
For younger members, Kokoro Jujitsu supports physical literacy, confidence, and self-control. Classes help children develop coordination, focus, and respect for others, while learning how to manage space, balance, and contact safely. The approach is measured and supportive, helping children grow in confidence without unnecessary pressure.
