Lowton Community Hub was created by local people who wanted to build something that would make a lasting difference to the community. Today, that vision continues through sport, health and wellbeing, family support, volunteering, youth development and community activities.
But the Hub is about more than what happens inside its walls.
It is about creating opportunities, building connections and giving people a place where they feel welcome and belong.
Take a look inside Lowton Community Hub and discover a place where people come together to connect, take part, and make a difference. Whether you’re here for an activity, meeting friends in the cafe, accessing support, or volunteering, there’s a place for everyone here.
Lowton Community Hub is a place to meet, take part and belong. From community events and the café to clubs, groups and family activities, we create opportunities for people of all ages to connect and be part of something local.
support
We believe people are stronger when they have the right support around them. From pre-birth all the way to older age. Through family services, youth programmes, volunteering and community partnerships, we help people develop confidence, skills and connections that can make a lasting difference.
Health & wellbeing
From martial arts and exercise to physiotherapy, rehabilitation and health support, the Hub provides opportunities to stay active, recover from injury and look after your wellbeing at every stage of life.
Local resident
This place has become our favourite local spot. I bring my kids to judo, and I can relax in the café with friends while they train. The atmosphere is warm, the staff are welcoming, and it feels like a real community hub.

Parent & Resident
We joined for the jujitsu, but we’ve stayed because of the people. The dojo is brilliant and the classes are great, but the café is where everyone meets afterwards. It’s a proper space for families, neighbours, and local groups.
I go to Kinisiflow and Pilates here, and the whole hub feels like an extension of the community. It’s lovely to have such a friendly place to meet, move, and just be around others. The café is a real hidden gem too

Local mum
The baby classes are brilliant. the classes feel really welcoming so it’s a lovely place to meet other parents and get advice and chat. The space is really unique with its floor and wall mats so you feel a lot more relaxed while the little ones play, move, and explore.

Local patient
Pain free after 4 years! This physio clinic is outstanding. The care feels personal, the explanations make sense, and the results speak for themselves. People say it’s the best in the North West, and having that level of expertise right on our doorstep is something we don’t take for granted.
Volunteers have been at the heart of Lowton Community Hub from the beginning. They helped build the Hub and continue to give their time, skills and experience to keep it active and growing.
Not-for-profit
The Hub exists for the benefit of the community, not to generate profit. Income is reinvested into our facilities, projects, services and opportunities for local people.
A place to belong
Whether you come to take part in an activity, meet a friend, access support or simply have a coffee, we want the Hub to be somewhere people feel welcome, valued and part of the community.
Built for the community
Created by local people and shaped by what our community needs, the Hub continues to develop through the ideas, energy and involvement of the people who use it.
