Showing what your support makes possible
Lowton Community Hub exists to make a positive difference in our community, but we believe it is important to show what that means in practice.
Our Impact Reports provide a regular snapshot of what is happening across the Hub — the people taking part, the volunteers giving their time, the activities and projects being delivered, and the difference they are making.
We produce them because we want to be open about what we do and accountable to the people who support us. They also give us an opportunity to recognise the volunteers, partners and community organisations whose contribution makes so much of our work possible.
The reports are not just about numbers. Behind every figure is a person, a story or a contribution that helps make Lowton Community Hub what it is.
Below you can explore our latest reports and see how the Hub continues to develop, quarter by quarter.
“For me, the real measure of Lowton Community Hub isn’t the building or the number of activities we deliver. It’s what happens because the Hub is here — a young person gaining confidence, a family finding support, someone making a new friend or a person discovering an opportunity they didn’t know was available. That’s the impact we want to understand and share.”

Q1 2026 - A great start
The first quarter of 2026 saw Lowton Community Hub continue to grow as a place for sport, health, youth development and community activity. More people were using the Hub, more volunteers were getting involved and several projects were moving into their next stage.
The community café became an important part of the Hub providing another place for people to meet, eat and spend time together.
The Family Hub also became established during the quarter, bringing classes, activities and support for babies, young children and families to the community. Many of these services had not been available locally for several years, helping to fill an important gap for local families.
Including providing a space for specialist support groups, including Riding the Rapids, giving families affected by autism the opportunity to meet, connect and access support within their local community.
Alongside this, volunteers remained at the heart of the Hub, contributing 170 hours during the quarter across activities, projects and the day-to-day running of the facility. Their contribution continues to be one of the clearest measures of the community ownership behind the Hub.
The quarter also saw further development of Slice of Hope, alongside progress with our outdoor community spaces and youth volunteering and leadership programme. These projects are creating new opportunities for young people while bringing more people into the Hub.

Our Q1 report provides a snapshot of this activity, highlighting not only what we delivered during the quarter but the people, volunteers and partnerships behind it.

Q2 2026 - bUILDING MOMENTUM
During the second quarter of 2026, Lowton Community Hub delivered more than 1,300 hours of community activity, bringing together family support, health and wellbeing, sport, volunteering, youth development, the café and community events under one roof.
The Community Café continued to grow, providing a welcoming meeting place that has become an important part of everyday life at the Hub. Our Family Hub partnership continued to provide Baby Hub, toddler activities and autism support, bringing services into the community that had not been available locally for many years.
Across health and wellbeing, martial arts and community activities, people continued to access support, develop skills and build connections close to home. At the same time, 260 hours of volunteering were contributed to the running of the Hub, maintenance, community support and the continued development of Slice of Hope.
The quarter also saw further progress in creating connections between services. Someone might come to the Hub for judo and discover volunteering, attend Baby Hub and become part of the wider community, or visit the café and find support they did not know was available.
This is the principle behind The Lowton Model — creating a connected community where different services, activities and people come together rather than operating in isolation.
Our Q2 report provides a closer look at the activity, people and partnerships behind those figures, and how the Hub continues to develop.
