A place for families to connect, learn & grow
Our Family Hub brings activities, support and opportunities for families into the heart of Lowton. Working in partnership with Wigan Council Family Hub, we provide a welcoming local space where parents, carers and children can meet, take part and access support.
From baby and toddler activities to autism support and family programmes, the offer is designed to support families at different stages of their journey.
You don’t need to be a member of Lowton Community Hub to take part. The Family Hub is here for local families.

Supporting families at every stage
Families need different things at different times. Our Family Hub brings together activities and support that help children develop, parents build confidence and families create stronger connections within their community.
Baby Hub
A welcoming space for parents and babies to meet others, share experiences and take part in activities that support early development.
Toddler Activities
Fun, active and social sessions designed to support children’s development while giving parents and carers an opportunity to meet and connect.
Family Support
A range of activities, information and support designed to help parents and carers feel more confident and connected.
Autism & SEND Support
Support and opportunities for families of children with autism and additional needs, providing a welcoming environment where families can meet others who understand their experiences.
More than a class
A Family Hub session may be the reason a family first visits, but it can lead to much more. Parents can meet others, build friendships, discover activities and find support within the wider Hub.
For paretns too
Having children can sometimes feel isolating. The Family Hub gives parents somewhere to go, people to talk to and opportunities to build friendships and confidence while supporting their children’s development.

A partnership that brings support closer to home
The Family Hub is part of the wider Lowton Community Hub, giving families access to our Community Café, health and wellbeing services, sport, martial arts, volunteering, youth programmes and community events.
Bringing these opportunities together under one roof means families can discover support, activities and connections that they may not otherwise find.
People don’t have to navigate separate services. They can find different opportunities around them, in one familiar and welcoming place.
All Family Hub classes are free.
